Have your kids ever wondered where pumpkins come from? As you’ve probably told them, the answer is not from the grocery store. But if you want them to experience the joy of heading out into a field and picking a pumpkin right off the vine, visit Hendersonville and take the kids to The Nix Pumpkin Patch this fall.
Measure Twice, Cut Once
That old adage doesn’t apply only to carpentry and home improvement projects. Nope. It also rings true when you’re harvesting a pumpkin. You see, out in the patch, you’ll find pumpkins of all sorts of shapes and sizes, and they’re all priced accordingly. However, the moment you begin to cut your selection off the vine, you bought it – even if you change your mind. So remember, choose wisely. If you do, you won’t be disappointed.
As long as you’re visiting, peruse The Nix Pumpkin Patch market. Their shelves are stocked with fruits, vegetables, drinks, local goods, crafts, snacks, cider slushies, and even jugs of cider. You can also grab a prepicked pumpkin if you prefer. And we strongly suggest you take home some pumpkin pie.
Pumpkins aren’t the only thing ready to be picked at The Nix Pumpkin Patch. They have a beautiful selection of flowers that you can’t miss, sitting right there at the entrance to the pumpkin patch. They have all sorts of beautiful colors and types, each one a brilliant selection for your fall centerpiece.
